Prospective Observational Study of a Racially Diverse Group of Men on Active Surveillance for Prostate CancerTo evaluate the risk upgrading of active surveillance (AS), we reviewed the outcomes of African American men (AA) after electing AS. AS is the standard of care for men with low-grade prostate cancer (PCa). AA are known to have more advanced PCa features and are more likely to die from PCa, thus subsequent disease progression for AA on AS is unclear.
Hot or Not: Tumor Mutational Burden (TMB) as a Biomarker of Immunotherapy Response in Genitourinary CancersPembrolizumab was recently approved for treatment of cancers with high tumor mutational burden (TMB). We conduct a focused literature review of TMB as a predictive biomarker. TMB quantifies the sum of nonsynonymous coding mutations (typically single nucleotide substitutions and short insertion-deletions) per megabase of sequenced DNA. As a proxy for expression of immunogenic neoantigens, TMB may be an effective predictive biomarker for response to immune checkpoint inhibitors. However, like other biomarkers in this setting, TMB has many limitations; the effect of this FDA approval in the current management of genitourinary cancers is likely limited to select situations.
Testis-sparing Surgery: A Single Institution ExperienceTo demonstrate the safety and efficacy of testis-sparing surgery (TSS) in 2 specific circumstances: small, nonpalpable masses suspected to be benign and masses suspicious for germ cell tumor in a solitary or functionally solitary testicle or bilateral disease.

Association of Surgical Delay and Overall Survival in Patients With T2 Renal Masses: Implications for Critical Clinical Decision-making During the COVID-19 PandemicTo test for an association between surgical delay and overall survival (OS) for patients with T2 renal masses. Many health care systems are balancing resources to manage the current COVID-19 pandemic, which may result in surgical delay for patients with large renal masses.
Impact of Early Confirmatory Tests on Upgrading and Conversion to Treatment in Prostate Cancer Patients on Active SurveillanceTo assess the impact of confirmatory tests on active surveillance (AS) biopsy disease reclassification and progression to treatment in men with favorable risk prostate cancer (FRPC).
Post Prostatectomy Pathologic Findings of Patients With Clinically Significant Prostate Cancer and no Significant PI-RADS Lesions on Preoperative Magnetic Resonance ImagingWe present postprostatectomy pathology results from a series of prostate cancer (Pca) Gleason grade group ≥2 patients who did not have findings suggestive of cancer on preoperative pelvic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Survival Outcomes in Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for High-grade Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma: A Nationally Representative AnalysisTo assess the impact of neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) on survival outcomes in a contemporary cohort of patients with in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC).
Comparison of Perioperative and Pathologic Outcomes Between Single-port and Standard Robot-assisted Radical Prostatectomy: An Analysis of a High-volume Center and the Pooled World ExperienceTo perform an early comparative study of outcomes between single-port and robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy (SP-RALRP) and standard RALRP at our institution and pooled analysis of series to date.
Performance of Multiparametric MRI of the Prostate in Biopsy Naïve Men: A Meta-analysis of Prospective StudiesTo assess the outcomes through systematic review and meta-analysis of multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) of the prostate in biopsy naïve men.
Comparison of Major Complications at 30 and 90 Days Following Radical CystectomyTo better understand the time-course in which major complications occur after radical cystectomy and to describe associations with complications at 30 and 90 days.
Suboptimal Prediction of Clinically Significant Prostate Cancer in Radical Prostatectomy Specimens by mpMRI-Targeted BiopsyTo investigate the correlation of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging targeted (TBx) and/or systematic prostate biopsy (SBx) in predicting the presence of clinically significant (cs) prostate cancer (PCa) in radical prostatectomy (RP) specimens. Concordance of mpMRI and RP specimen lesions was also investigated in terms of tumor localization and histopathological features.
Trends in Treatment Strategies and Comparison of Outcomes in Lymph Node Positive Bladder Cancer: An Analysis of the National Cancer DatabaseTo utilize a national dataset to compare outcomes and demonstrate trends in treatment for lymph node positive bladder cancer (N+ BC).
Feasibility and Safety of Robotic Excision of Ipsilateral Retroperitoneal Recurrence After Nephrectomy for Renal Cell CarcinomaTo determine feasibility and safety of robotic excision of local ipsilateral recurrences after nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Surgical resection is an option for treatment of low burden locally recurrent RCC, potentially delaying the use of systemic therapy. This has historically been performed by open technique, which can impart significant morbidity. We present our experience with robotic excision.
Contemporary Treatment Patterns for Non-muscle-invasive Bladder Cancer: Has the Use of Radical Cystectomy Changed in the BCG Shortage Era?To examine recent treatment trends for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC), and specifically, to assess whether there was a change in use radical cystectomy (RC) between 2008 and 2015 using data from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results database.
